1. Key Steps

1. Prepare the kit — check the box contents (Hub, Scale, VitalSensor, power supply, mounting hardware, QR code stickers).
2. Register in the system — install the Apisense mobile app or go to Apisense Pro AI and create an account / log in.
3. Add your apiary and hive — when creating the apiary, assign the Hub to it; when adding the hive, assign the Scale and VitalSensor. Assign devices by scanning the QR codes on their housings.
4. Start up the devices and check the LEDs — expose the Hub to sunlight or connect a USB-C cable to a compatible power source. Insert two AA batteries into the Scale and VitalSensor, then check that the start-up indicator LEDs light up.
5. Wait for synchronisation — after 2 hours check the first readings in the system. Verify data in the Apiaries, Hives, and Hive details tabs (the No data status will change to current readings).
6. Install the devices — Hub facing the sun, 1–2 m above ground, tilted 30–50° from horizontal; Scale on stable ground within 35 m of the Hub; VitalSensor in the hive, upper corner of the central bee frame, within 35 m of the Hub.
7. Monitor regularly — use 24/7 monitoring, alerts, and recommendations in the Apisense app.
