Notifications: marking as read and push

Plan: Apisense AI and Apisense PRO AI

All alerts are on the Alerts screen in the bottom bar of the app. To mark one alert as read, tap it. To mark many alerts at one time, use the Mark as read button. You turn push notifications on and off in the settings.

Where the alerts are

  1. In the bottom bar, tap Alerts. The red badge shows the number of unread alerts.
  2. Select a tab:
  3. Needs attention: alerts that you should react to, for example colony health and weight changes. Apisense PRO AI
  4. Everything: all alerts, also about device battery and connection. Apisense PRO AI
  5. To see the alerts of one apiary, select its filter below the tabs. The filters show only when you have 2 or more apiaries.

The alerts are grouped by day, newest first. When there are no alerts, the app shows No notifications.

How to mark one alert as read

Tap the alert. The alert becomes read, and the app opens the place that the alert is about. To go back to the list, tap Back. There is no separate button for one alert.

How to mark all alerts of an apiary as read

  1. On the Alerts screen, select the apiary filter. With no filter, you mark the alerts from all apiaries.
  2. In the top bar, tap Mark as read.
  3. Select Needs attention or All.
  4. Tap Save.

A read alert stays in the list. Only its highlight changes.

How to turn push notifications on or off

  1. On the Apiaries screen, tap the three dots, then Settings.
  2. In the Privacy section, tap Consents and notifications.
  3. In the Apiary notifications part, turn the Push notifications switch on or off.
  4. Tap Save. You see Changes saved.

When you turn off push, the alerts are not deleted. All alerts are still on the Alerts screen.

Good to know

  • There is one push switch for all alerts. You cannot select which types of alerts come as push. We decide which types of alerts go as push.
  • When your phone blocks the app notifications, you see the banner Notifications are disabled on the apiary list. Tap Go to phone settings and turn on notifications.
  • In a web browser there are no push notifications. An open browser tab updates the number of alerts automatically.

When something does not work

If marking fails, the app shows Could not mark your notifications as read. Try again.
