Apiary access levels

Plan: Apisense AI and Apisense PRO AI

There are three access levels: Restricted, Standard and Full. Restricted shows only the device data. Standard also shows the entries of the beekeeper, without permission to change them. Full lets the person add and edit entries and hives.

Restricted access

A person with Restricted access sees:

  • the names of the apiary and the hives,
  • the device measurements and the charts,
  • the disease alerts.

The person does not see the notes, inspections, examinations, frame photo analyses, samples, tasks and technical notifications. The person cannot change anything. When the person opens a part that is not available, they see Feature unavailable.

Standard access

A person with Standard access sees the same as with Restricted access. The person also sees the notes, inspections, examinations, frame photo analyses, samples, tasks and technical notifications. The person cannot add or change anything. When the person tries to edit, they see Read-only access.

Full access

A person with Full access sees the same as with Standard access. The person can also add and edit:

  • hives (and also delete a hive),
  • notes, inspections, examinations and tasks,
  • the apiary name,
  • the Scale tare.

When a person with Full access adds a hive, they scan only the ColonyLink. The apiary owner adds the Scale and the VitalSensor.

What stays only with the owner

At each access level, only the owner can:

  • manage the Hub, the VitalSensor and the Scale (add, replace, move, disconnect),
  • move a hive to another apiary,
  • share the apiary,
  • delete the apiary.

Which plan controls what you see

In a shared apiary, two plans are important.

The plan of the owner controls the device data (weight, conditions) and the disease data (the Health tab). As an invited person, you do not need the Pro AI plan for this. When the plan of the owner does not cover this data, you see Current device data depends on the apiary owner's plan.

The plan of the invited person controls the frame photo analyses, the examinations and the samples.

The notes, inspections and tasks are visible with each plan, as the access level allows.

Good to know

  • You can change the access level at any time. See How to change the access level or withdraw a share.
  • When you do not know which level to select: a partner who works in the apiary needs Full access. A person who only looks at the entries needs Standard access.
