The Scale shows zero

Zero just after a tare is normal: the tare sets the selected measurement as 0 kg. If the Scale is under a hive, you did not tare it, and it shows 0 kg, most probably water got into the Scale or the Scale is damaged. Then write to bee@apisense.ai and give the serial number of the Scale.

Step 1: check the tare

1. Open the hive → Hive state tab → expand the Weight card.
2. The text Current weight (tare) means that the Scale is tared. The weight is counted from the tare point.
3. If you do not need the tare, tap Reset. The Scale shows the full weight.

When you move the Scale to a different hive, the tare is set back to zero. The Scale has no button, so you tare it only in the app.

Step 2: check that the Scale works

1. Check the date of the last measurement on the hive tile, or Last report in Hive settings → Devices.
2. If the Scale has No connection or does not measure, see A device has no connection.
3. Make sure that the hive is stable and stands on the Scale. The wooden bar is lower than the Scale on purpose.

Step 3: the Scale under the hive still shows zero

Write to bee@apisense.ai. Give the serial number of the Scale. The number is in Hive settings → Devices.
