How to share an apiary

Plan: Apisense AI and Apisense PRO AI

You share an apiary with an invitation to an e-mail address. The invited person must have an Apisense account. Sharing works in all plans. Only the owner of the apiary can share it.

How to send an invitation from the apiary screen

  1. Open the apiary.
  2. Touch the share icon in the apiary header. The app opens the form immediately.
  3. In the E-mail field, enter the address of the Apisense account of the invited person.
  4. In the Name field, enter a name. Your sharing list shows the person with this name.
  5. In Access type, select Restricted, Standard or Full. The default is Standard.
  6. Touch Share.

The invitation shows on the list with the status Pending acceptance. The person gets access only after they accept.

How to send an invitation from the apiary list

  1. On the Apiaries screen, touch the share icon in the top bar.
  2. On the Share apiary screen, select the Shared tab.
  3. Touch Share apiary.
  4. On the Choose an apiary screen, select the apiary.
  5. Fill in the form as above and touch Share.

Apiary settings has no sharing option.

Whom you can invite

You can invite only a person who has an Apisense account. Enter the e-mail address that this person used to create the account. When the person has no account, ask them to register in the app first.

You can share one apiary with many persons. Each person gets a separate invitation.

The invited person does not get an e-mail. The invitation comes only in the app: as a notification and a banner on the Apiaries screen. Tell this person to open the Apisense app.

Good to know

  • The invited person gets a notification and sees the invitation in the app. You get a notification when the person accepts the invitation.
  • When your plan has expired, you cannot send an invitation.
  • The Hub and the devices, moving hives, sharing and deleting the apiary stay only with the owner, at each access level.

When something does not work

  • This person doesn't have an Apisense account.: the address has no account. Ask the person to register, or check the address.
  • This apiary is already shared with this person.: the invitation exists already. Change the access level instead of sending a new invitation.
  • You can't share an apiary with yourself.: you entered your own address.
  • Enter a valid e-mail address.: correct the address.
