How to record a feeding¶

You record a feeding in a note. The app has no separate feeding form. In a hive with a Scale, you can also confirm an increase of mass as Feeding.

Record a feeding in a note¶

Open the hive. Select the Notes tab.
Add a note. Write the quantity and the type of syrup, for example "3 l of 3:2 syrup".
Tap Save.

The app can add a label to the note, for example a feeding label. The app adds the labels automatically. You cannot change them manually.

Quick way: in the Syrup tab, tap Copy recipe. Paste the recipe into the note. See Syrup calculator.

Feeding several hives¶

Full apiary: open the apiary. Tap Add → Note. An apiary note goes to each hive of this apiary.
Some selected hives: the app does not let you select some hives for one note. Add a note in each hive separately.

Feeding in a hive with a Scale¶

When you pour in syrup, the Scale can detect an Unusual weight rise in the hive. Answer the question What was it?: select Feeding and tap Save. This answer describes the weight event. Record the quantity of syrup in a note. See What happened to the hive? Weight events. Apisense PRO AI

Good to know¶

The syrup calculator does not record a feeding. It only calculates the recipe.
Do not pour syrup onto the VitalSensor or the Scale. See Operating and usage conditions.
Do you want a reminder to examine the feeder? Add a task with a date in the Tasks tab, for example "Check the feeder".
