An entry went to the wrong hive¶
Plan: Apisense AI and Apisense PRO AI
The app does not move entries between hives. This applies to notes, inspections and examinations. Add the same entry in the correct hive, then delete the entry from the wrong hive.
How to correct an entry saved in the wrong hive¶
- Open the wrong hive and open the entry. Write down the date, the text, the answers and the numbers. Keep the same photos ready in your phone gallery.
- Open the correct hive.
- Add a new entry of the same type. Set the same date as in the old entry. Add the same photos from the gallery and the same values.
- Check the new entry in the correct hive.
- Go back to the wrong hive and delete the old entry. You cannot undo a deletion.
First add the new entry, then delete the old one. This way you do not lose data if something goes wrong.
Entries and device data¶
VitalSensor and Scale measurements are not entries. This is a different case: a device measures in the hive that it is assigned to in the app. When a device is in a different hive than in the app, move the device in Hive settings → Devices → Move. The measurement history stays in the old hive. The new hive shows data from the time of the move.
Does an entry in the wrong hive change the colony assessment¶
Disease alerts come only from VitalSensor measurements. A note, an inspection or an examination does not change them.
An inspection has an effect on the Colony strength assessment. The app calculates it from the answers about the number of frames covered by bees. When you delete the inspection from the wrong hive, the assessment from this inspection goes away immediately. The wrong hive goes back to its previous assessment. A new inspection in the correct hive gives an assessment in the correct hive. A note and an examination do not change colony strength.
Good to know¶
- A note that you added to the whole apiary has a copy in each hive. When you do not need the copy in one hive, delete only that copy.
- You can move the whole hive with its entries to a different apiary: Hive settings → Move hive to another apiary. The entries, the history and the devices go with the hive.
